01Agreement to These Terms
By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you've read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which are incorporated here by reference. If you're using the Services for an organization (a company, agency, or brand), you're agreeing on that organization's behalf, and you confirm you have authority to do so — in that case "you" means that organization.
If you don't agree with these Terms, don't use the Services.
02Who Can Use Growth-Hackers.com
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Services.
Growth-Hackers.com is built for a specific audience: growth marketers, founders, growth teams, agencies, and MarTech/SaaS vendors who back what they say with real work. We are not built for, and reserve the right to refuse or remove, accounts engaged in black-hat schemes, get-rich-quick or MLM promotion, or anyone whose primary activity is making unverifiable claims. If you can't show receipts, this isn't your place.
Availability is currently limited to English-language users. We may expand over time.
03Your Account
Creating an account.
Some features (claiming a profile, submitting hacks, voting, subscriptions) require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. You may register or sign in via email or a supported third-party login (OAuth).
Keeping it secure.
You're responsible for your login credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at [PLACEHOLDER — security@growth-hackers.com] if you suspect unauthorized use.
One person, one identity.
Profiles represent real people or real organizations. Impersonation, fake profiles, or claiming credit for work you didn't do violates these Terms and our Community Guidelines — and undermines the entire reputation graph. Don't do it.
04The Two Sides & What You're Signing Up For
Growth-Hackers.com is a two-sided platform. Depending on how you use it, different terms may apply:
- If you're a growth marketer (supply): You can claim a free profile, submit hacks, vote, comment, and build public reputation. Upgrading to a paid plan (e.g., Pro) unlocks additional features. Your profile and contributions are public by default and designed to be shared and indexed by search engines.
- If you're a founder, agency, or brand (demand): You can browse the Growth Hacks Feed, subscribe to the Playbook Vault, search the Directory, and hire talent. Paid subscriptions and listings are governed by the billing terms below.
- If you're a MarTech/SaaS vendor (demand): Sponsorships, newsletter placements, and premium directory listings are governed by a separate insertion order or sponsorship agreement in addition to these Terms. Where that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the sponsorship agreement controls for that engagement.
We connect these sides, but we are a platform — not a party to any hiring, service, or commercial relationship you form with another user. Deals you strike with other users are between you and them.
05Your Content, Hacks & Receipts
What "Content" means.
"Content" is anything you submit or post: your profile, hacks, case studies, comments, votes, playbooks, uploaded evidence, screenshots, metrics, and messages.
You own your Content.
You keep ownership of everything you create. We don't claim it.
The license you grant us.
So we can operate the Services, you grant Growth-Hackers.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, distribute, and promote your Content in connection with the Services — including on public, search-indexed profile and hack pages, in our newsletter, on social channels, and in marketing that showcases the platform. This is how your profile "works while you sleep." This license ends when you delete the Content or your account, except: (a) for Content others have saved or referenced, (b) for backups retained for a reasonable period, and (c) where retention is legally required.
The Receipts Standard.
When you submit a hack or claim a result, you agree that:
- the numbers and outcomes you post are truthful and, to the best of your knowledge, accurate;
- you have the right to share them (you didn't breach an NDA or confidentiality obligation);
- you'll flag anything you can't verify rather than presenting it as fact.
Unverified claims may be labeled as such. Claims we determine to be false, fabricated, or misleading may be removed, and repeat offenders may be suspended. This isn't bureaucracy — it's the product. The value of your reputation here depends on everyone playing straight.
Confidential results.
If your results are sensitive, you have options: share ranges instead of exact figures, redact specifics, or verify privately with our team while displaying a verified badge publicly. See How Verification Works.
Responsibility.
You're responsible for your Content and its consequences. Don't post anything you don't have the rights to, anything false, or anything that violates our Community Guidelines.
06Verification & the Receipts Standard Verified
Verification is central to how the Services work. We may verify results and claims through a combination of evidence submission, community voting, and human review. Verification methods, badges, and their meanings are described on our Verification page.
You agree that:
- verification is a signal of credibility, not a guarantee of accuracy or future results;
- we may adjust, revoke, or re-review a verified status at any time if new information emerges;
- attempting to manipulate verification (fake evidence, coordinated voting, sockpuppets, or gaming the review process) is a serious violation and grounds for immediate removal and account termination.
We reserve reasonable discretion over verification decisions. We aim to apply them consistently and in the open.
07Community Rules & Prohibited Conduct
Our Community Guidelines are part of these Terms. In addition, you agree NOT to:
- post false, fabricated, or plagiarized results, hacks, or credentials;
- impersonate any person or organization, or create fake or duplicate profiles;
- manipulate votes, rankings, or verification through bots, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or sockpuppet accounts;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download Content or member data except as expressly permitted (see also the SEO/indexing exception for legitimate search engines);
- upload malware, attempt to breach security, or interfere with the Services' operation;
- promote black-hat, illegal, MLM, or get-rich-quick schemes;
- harass, threaten, or discriminate against other members;
- use the Services to spam or send unsolicited commercial messages;
- resell or exploit the Services or Content for a competing product without our written permission.
Signal over volume. We protect our members' attention and the integrity of the graph. Break these rules and we may remove Content, restrict features, or terminate your account.
08Rankings, Leaderboards & No Pay-to-Win
No Pay-to-Win.
Ranking on Growth-Hackers.com is earned through contribution and verified results — never bought. You cannot pay us, or anyone, to rank higher on the leaderboard or in the Directory's merit rankings. Paid placements (such as sponsored or promoted Directory listings) are always clearly labeled and kept separate from merit-based rank.
Leaderboards and rankings reflect a combination of contribution, community votes, and verified results, calculated by systems we maintain and may refine over time. We do not guarantee any particular rank, placement, visibility, lead volume, or business outcome. Rankings can change.
Paid products — Pro features, Playbook Vault subscriptions, and promoted Directory listings — may increase your exposure or unlock features, but they never override merit-based ranking or manufacture a verified status. Trust is the moat. We won't sell it.
09Paid Plans, Billing & Refunds
Plans and pricing.
Some Services require payment — for example, marketer Pro plans, the Playbook Vault, team licenses, and premium Directory listings. Current plans and prices are on our Pricing page. We may change pricing prospectively; changes won't affect the current paid term you've already committed to.
Billing.
By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected) until you cancel. Annual plans may be offered at a discount.
Renewals & cancellation.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
Refunds.
Except where required by law, payments are generally non-refundable, including partial periods. If a specific plan offers a money-back or free-trial guarantee, its terms are stated at purchase and control. Questions? Contact us.
Taxes.
Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated. You're responsible for any taxes other than our income taxes.
Free plans and trials.
Free tiers and trials may be modified or discontinued. We won't charge you for a paid plan without your consent.
10Advertising & Sponsorships
Sponsorships, newsletter placements, sponsored playbooks, and premium/promoted Directory listings are subject to a separate insertion order, media agreement, or sponsorship agreement in addition to these Terms. Sponsored or promoted content will be clearly labeled as such and is always kept distinct from merit-based rankings and verified results (see Section 8). We do not guarantee any specific reach, engagement, conversion, or attribution outcome beyond what a signed agreement expressly states. Audience metrics we share are provided in good faith and are estimates unless otherwise specified — and, especially while the platform is early, we present current figures honestly and will not overstate our reach.
11Our Intellectual Property
The Services — including our software, design, wordmark, "Growth-Hackers.com" and related logos, the "Receipts over rhetoric" and "No pay-to-win" marks, page templates, and all content we create — are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Services except as the law permits. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Nothing here transfers ownership of your own Content to us (see Section 5).
12Third-Party Links & Tools
The Services reference third-party tools, vendors, and links — for example, the MarTech tools listed on hack pages or in the Directory. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party sites, products, or services, and listing or linking them isn't an endorsement or a verification of their claims. Your dealings with third parties are between you and them.
13Privacy
How we collect, use, and protect your information is described in our Privacy Policy. Because profiles and contributions are public by default and designed to be indexed by search engines, please review that policy carefully before posting.
14Disclaimers
The Services and all Content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant that: the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; verification, rankings, or metrics are accurate or complete; hacks, playbooks, or tactics will produce any particular result for you; or that any hire, deal, or engagement you make through the Services will meet your expectations. Growth tactics carry risk, and results vary by context. You use the Services and act on any Content at your own discretion and risk.
15Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Growth-Hackers.com and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services — even if we've been advised of the possibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) [PLACEHOLDER — e.g., USD $100].
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
16Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Growth-Hackers.com and its team from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your Content; your use of the Services; your violation of these Terms or the Community Guidelines; your infringement of anyone's rights; or any dispute between you and another user (including hiring or service arrangements formed through the Services).
17Suspension & Termination
You can stop using the Services and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate your access — with or without notice — if you violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, attempt to game verification or rankings, create risk or legal exposure for us or other members, or if we're required to by law.
On termination: your right to use the Services ends; public Content may be removed, though some may persist per the license terms in Section 5; and sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, disputes) will survive.
18Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform grows. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you (for example, by email or an in-product notice). Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. In the open, as always — we won't slip changes past you.
19Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER — e.g., the State of Delaware, USA], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Informal resolution first.
Before filing anything formal, please contact us so we can try to resolve it directly. Most issues can be sorted out fast.
Dispute resolution.
[PLACEHOLDER — ATTORNEY TO CONFIRM: arbitration clause, venue, and any class-action waiver. Include or remove based on jurisdiction and legal advice. Sample language:] Any dispute not resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by [PLACEHOLDER — arbitration provider] in [PLACEHOLDER — venue], except that either party may bring claims in small-claims court or seek injunctive relief for IP misuse. [Class-action waiver language subject to legal review.]
20General Terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any applicable sponsorship/insertion order make up the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision, that's not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them (for example, in a merger or acquisition).
- Force majeure. We're not liable for delays or failures beyond our reasonable control.
- Headings. Section titles are for convenience only.
