Our promise to you
Growth-Hackers.com exists to do one thing: make the best growth work - and the best growth people - discoverable on merit. Not job titles. Not who shouts loudest. Not who pays the most.
That only works if you can trust what you see here. So we run this community on six principles, and these guidelines turn them into rules everyone plays by:
Receipts over rhetoric. Claims need proof. Real numbers, verified. Unproven claims get flagged, not celebrated.
Givers gain. Contribution compounds your reputation. Sharing what works makes you more discoverable, not less.
Merit is the only credential. The work ranks, not the title. A solo operator with receipts can outrank an agency with a logo.
In the open. Reputation is built publicly. Profiles, votes, and rankings are transparent. No black boxes.
Signal over volume. We surface the best, not the most. Spam and noise get removed.
Play the long game. Trust is the whole product. We will never let it be bought.
Break these principles and you break the community. That is why the rules below have teeth.
What we reward
The behavior that earns reputation here is simple, and it is the opposite of what the internet usually rewards.
Real tactics with real numbers
Submit hacks you actually ran, with the metrics that prove they worked. Before-and-after. CAC, LTV, conversion lift, retention - whatever the tactic moved. Specifics beat adjectives every time.
Evidence you can stand behind
The strongest hacks come with proof: screenshots, dashboards, links, or private verification with our team. Verified results rise. That is the entire point.
Generous, useful contribution
Comment with substance. Share what you learned, including what failed. Help another operator improve their teardown. Givers gain here, literally - contribution feeds your rank.
Honest attribution
Credit the people, tools, and sources behind your work. If you adapted someone else's tactic, say so. Reputation built on honesty compounds. Reputation built on theft collapses.
Playing in the open
Public profiles. Public votes. Public rankings. The operators who build in the open are the ones this platform was made for.
What gets you flagged or removed
We would rather have one verified hack than a thousand empty ones. The following behavior damages the signal, and we act on it.
Unverifiable or inflated claims
Numbers you cannot back up. "10x growth" with no context, no baseline, no evidence. Claims like this get an amber Unverified flag, and if a pattern of exaggeration emerges, they get removed. You can share ranges or redact specifics - you cannot fabricate.
Spam and low-effort submissions
Recycled listicle content, keyword-stuffed filler, the same hack posted repeatedly, or submissions that exist only to link out. Signal over volume, always.
Vote manipulation
Buying votes, running bot rings, vote-swapping schemes, or coordinating upvote brigades. Rankings are earned. Any attempt to game them is a serious violation and puts your entire account at risk.
Plagiarism and misattribution
Passing off someone else's tactic, case study, or results as your own. Claiming work you did not do. Stripping credit from the operator who actually ran it.
Fake profiles and misrepresentation
Impersonating a person or company, inventing a track record, or misrepresenting your role, experience, or results. Merit is the only credential here, which means the merit has to be real.
Harassment and bad-faith conduct
Personal attacks, discrimination, coordinated pile-ons, or using comments and DMs to intimidate rather than help. Disagree hard about tactics. Never attack the person.
Off-topic self-promotion and covert ads
This is a place for proven growth work, not a billboard. Sponsored content is welcome when it is clearly labeled and follows our advertising standards. Covert ads dressed up as organic hacks are not.
How ranking works - and why you can't buy it
Pay-to-Win
This is the most important section on the page, so we will be blunt:
You cannot pay to rank higher. Ever.
Leaderboard position and search ranking are earned through two things only:
- ▲Verified results - the strength and proof of the tactics you have shipped.
- ▲Community standing - genuine, un-manipulated votes and contribution over time.
Money buys
- •Playbook Vault access
- •Premium Directory placement
- •Enhanced profile tools
- •Newsletter sponsorship
Visibility and utility products.
Money never buys
- ✕Leaderboard rank
- ✕Search ranking
- ✕Community votes
- ✕A Verified badge
Merit only. Earned, never bought.
What money can and cannot buy
A paid subscription unlocks more access and more reach - the Playbook Vault, premium Directory placement, enhanced profile tools, newsletter sponsorship. Those are visibility and utility products. None of them move you up the merit rankings. A founding member on the free plan can outrank a paying agency, and that is by design.
Premium placement is always labeled
Where a listing is promoted (for example, a premium Directory placement), it is clearly marked as such. We will never disguise a paid slot as an earned rank. In the open means in the open.
Why we hold this line
The moment rankings can be bought, the signal dies and this becomes another noisy directory. Trust is the entire product. We will refuse revenue before we compromise it. Play the long game.
How results get verified
Every hack carries a status so you always know what you are looking at:
The results have been backed with evidence and reviewed. Green check.
Submitted in good faith but not yet proven. Amber flag. Still visible, clearly marked, ranked lower.
A claim the community or our team has challenged as inaccurate or manipulated. Under review or removed.
Verification runs on a mix of evidence submission, community voting, and human review. You can verify publicly with visible proof, or privately with our team while showing a verified badge to everyone else.
We do not verify everything perfectly on day one, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we promise is that the system rewards proof, punishes fabrication, and gets sharper as the community grows.
See How Verification WorksReporting and enforcement
The community is the first line of defense. If you see something that violates these guidelines, flag it. That is not tattling - it is protecting the signal for everyone.
How to report
Every hack, profile, and comment has a report option. Use it. For anything urgent or sensitive - impersonation, coordinated manipulation, harassment - contact us directly at conduct@growth-hackers.com or through our contact page.
What happens next
We review reports on a mix of automated signals and human judgment. Depending on severity and pattern, we may take one of the following escalating actions:
Fair process
For most violations, we will tell you what happened and why, and give you a path to correct it - fix the claim, add evidence, remove the plagiarized section. For serious or repeated violations, especially vote manipulation and fabrication, we act immediately and without a second chance. Trust is hard to build and easy to break.
Appeals
If you believe we got a decision wrong, you can appeal by contacting us. We would rather be corrected than be unfair.
The short list of things that get you banned on sight
Most rule-breaks earn a warning and a chance to fix it. These do not. If you do any of the following, you are gone:
- ✕Buying, selling, or manipulating votes or rankings in any form.
- ✕Fabricating results or evidence - inventing numbers, doctoring screenshots, faking a track record.
- ✕Impersonating a person or company.
- ✕Black-hat and illegal tactics - anything deceptive, fraudulent, or unlawful dressed up as a "growth hack." This is not that kind of place.
- ✕Get-rich-quick, MLM, dropshipping-guru, and pump-and-dump schemes. Wrong home.
- ✕Coordinated harassment of any member.
If you came here to game reputation instead of earn it, this platform will work against you. We built it that way on purpose.
What if your numbers are confidential?
We know a lot of the best growth work happens under NDA. You do not have to leak sensitive data to prove your results here.
Share ranges
Instead of exact figures ("cut CAC 30 to 40%").
Redact specifics
Company names, absolute revenue, anything you cannot disclose.
Verify privately
With our team, keeping evidence confidential while displaying a Verified badge publicly.
Honesty and confidentiality are not in conflict. You can protect your data and still build a verified, public reputation.
We'll keep these current - in the open
Growth changes fast, and so will this community. We will update these guidelines as we learn, and when we make a material change, we will say so - visibly, not buried. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
These guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where the Terms and these guidelines overlap, both apply.
Questions about the rules?
If anything here is unclear, or you want to report something, we would rather hear from you than have you guess.
Receipts over rhetoric. The work ranks, not the title. That is the whole deal.
